Resort: Small village directly by the sea, 20 km west from Bantry, 30 km east from Castletownbere, 90 km west from Cork. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway N22 Cork. Then road R585. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork International (ORK) 90 km. This is one of Ireland's most beautifully situated villages and an area which is of special interest to botanists because of the mild climate. Glengarriff is one of the few areas in Iralnd which still has some of the original oak forest which totally covered the country.
