A cosmopolitan and lively city, full of culture, with impressive architecture and a history spanning more than 2000 years. Arts festival during August. Places to visit include: Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Zoo, Royal Museum of Scotland, St Giles Cathedral, Scotch Whiskey Heritage Centre, Royal Botanic Gardens. Please note Edinburgh is not a car friendly city, all main attractions are walking distance from each other and bus services are very good.
