Resort: The community Faak am See is situated between Villach (5 km) and Kagenfurt (30 km) at the shore of the lake with the same name. The resort has a number of entertainment possibilities such as concerts, lake festivals, folklore events, farm markets or the largest model railways in Europe. The surrounding area is good for excursions such as the one to the Castle Finkenstein with a number of concerts and plays, the capital city Klagenfurt, the thermals at Villach, the Eagle flight show on the Castle Landskron (7 km) or to Velden at Lake W÷rther and Slovenia.
Resort in Summer: The lovely shore and the clean water of Faaker Lake is excellent for a bathing holiday for the whole family. There are several different water sports possibilities here. Rowing, sailing boats, surfing, sailing school, 38 tennis courts, tennis school, golf driving range, mini golf, riding, fishing, fitness parcours, over 100 km marked rambling ways in Karawanken and in Julischen Alps, guided ramblings, climbing garden, Kneipp ways, shooting stand, cycling, mountain bike ways, childrens entertainment.
Resort in Winter: The 4 skiing mountains around Villach (approx. 5 km) offer 70 km downhill skiing for the whole family and about 200 km well prepared cross country ski-trail. Ice skating at the lake, curling, toboggan, winter rambling.
