The Kaanapali Royal location was a great location for our first visit to Maui. This was not a family vacation but two couples on anniversary getaways. I mention that as I might have a different opinion had my young children been with us on the trip. Being so close in proximity to beach activities (Black Rock, paddle boards, sun, sand etc..) and shopping/dinning (Whalers Village, Lahina's Front Street) was key. I had heard that Southern Maui had more to offer but after seven days we had only begun to explore all there was to do in western Maui. If I were to return with younger children I'd prefer a ground level condo but this location was a great place to recharge mid day or relax at the end of a busy day. I found it very clean, quiet and roomy. My initial experience with the rental management was great. They were great communicators by phone and e-mail up the the point we landed in Maui. Once on the ground my calls to the rental management went unanswered. I did get delayed return calls that went to voice mail. When I asked what the code to the safe was the response left on voice mail was "I don't know, the prior guest should have left it open". I also had a pressing matter that needed a quick resolution requiring an internet connection. Of course I misplaced my print out with the pass code information on it as soon as we arrived. And again I was unable to get an phone call answered. I did get the information on a voice mail later but it was to delayed to be any help. I would use these guy's again and my over all opinion of the over all value is very favorable.

We will stay there again if we go back to maui. Every thing we needed was in our condo. Could not have asked for more

We had a great stay at the condo. We had a lot of fun and everything was very convenient.The place was very clean - like the corners were clean if you know what I mean. They put a lot of energy into keeping the place spotless. That meant a lot to us.The location was close to a nice ocean side open air mall, other high-end hotels and convenient to beaches. Parking was also available close to the front door.Definitely recommended for a relaxing stay in Maui.

We enjoyed our stay so very much! The condo was beautiful and everything we wanted. It was so clean and we loved how inviting it was when we arrived - lights on, hawaiian music playing and fresh flowers on the table. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We most definitely will return!

We will definitely be returning for a longer stay. This is a third floor unit and is located at the end of the building. It is quiet and private and we enjoyed the large deck and new BBQ grill. Pool area is nice and parking was easy. Unit is very spacious and it really does look exactly like the pictures. A couple minor flaws to note - lighting in the living room at night is not adequate for reading and the water heater makes unusual noises that take some getting used to. That said, we really enjoyed our stay (which was much to short) and plan to return.

My family and I stayed at the Kaanapali Royal and absolutely loved it. The unit was remodeled, clean and loved that we had a one room upstairs. We traveled with our 2 year old boy and the location was excellent -- quick walk to the beach and Whalers Village, nice big lawn for him to run around and the pool was nicely kept. I would highly recommond this unit to anyone traveling to Kaanapali. We hope to be back in the near future.

It is always a shoot...whether or not a place will turn out the same as it looks on line. We were a little nervous but, were pleasantly surprised that this place was exactly as it was billed. No Tacky floral stylings (this was good). Very spacious. Would be perfect for a family or two couples. Manager/Owner was very friendly and helpful. Free phone was a nice perc. We would definitely recomend this to friends and family.

I've told Jonathan that we were SO impressed with our stay at Kaanapali Royale. This was our best experience! It was so impressive how there was attention to every detail. Our celebration with our sons for our 35th anniversary could not have been more memorable, and much had to do with our VERY comfortable accomodations. Thank you! We'll be back :)

Great place to stay. Although the pictures on the website are acceptable, they don't do the unit justice. The apartment was spotless. The few downsides were that the walk to the beach was tough if carrying lots of gear although you can cut the time in half if you cut through the golf course. The sharp knives could be replaced and we did find a couple bugs. Overall, the place was great and truly allowed us flexibility on our trip. Highly recommend!
