Les Hortensias is a brand-new luxury, detached self-catering holiday home with swimming pool. The house is set in a wonderful location close to the small village of Vanxains with its boulangerie, yet only 5 miles from Ribérac with all its amenities and famous market. The location is wonderfully peaceful and ideal for getting away from it all.
Les Hortensias is spacious and superbly equipped with under-floor heating and air conditioning and is beautifully furnished inside. This brand new house has 4 bedrooms (2 king-size doubles, 2 twins), 3 bathrooms plus separate WC. The kitchen has a ceramic hob and built-in oven, fridge freezer and microwave and Bosch washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher. The sitting room and dining room enjoy panoramic views and have a wood-burning stove and satellite TV which receives English programmes.
Upstairs, one large double bedroom with private dressing area shares a shower room and separate WC with a twin bedroom. Both these rooms have air-conditioning. Downstairs there is one large double bedroom and one twin bedroom - each with its own en-suite bath or shower room
Outside, the large south-facing terrace has been designed to make the most of the wonderful views and lovely sunsets and includes a shady pergola - wonderful for eating outside. The grounds have been landscaped to include the swimming pool (10mx5m) which the house shares with neighbouring Les Tournesols. These two houses can be rented together or independently. Les Lavandes, the third house on the development has its own private pool.
The house is set in a small rural hamlet called Champagnac which sits astride a ridge with lovely views. The old village of Vanxains, with its boulangerie and post office nestles in the valley below and is only a short drive away - you can also cycle or walk to it. Ribérac, a bustling town is five miles away. It has all kinds of shops, hypermarkets, great restaurants and other facilities such as canoeing and horse riding. The famous Friday market at Ribérac is a must for visitors and is as much a social occasion as a shopping opportunity.
Aubeterre, a very old and very beautiful village is only 15 minutes drive away - the nearest golf course is also located here. There are lots of other lovely places to explore. Brantome, Bergerac, Perigueux and St Emilion are all less than an hour's drive and are brilliant for sightseeing (and wine tasting!).
