Resort: Well-known bathing resort directly by the sea, 36 km from Carnforth, 23 km from Ullverston, 106 km from Carlisle. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Manchester (MAN) 128 km. Situated between the hills and the sea with the mildest climate in the North of England. Part of the Lake District, it is a seaide resort full of elegance and charm. Stroll along its traffic free promenade or visit the Ornamental Gardens with its Victorian bandstand. It is possible to hike acrss the Bay with the Queens Official Guide or maybe walk to the summit of Hampsfield Fell with panoramic views.
