Resort: Well-known, family friendly holiday resort directly by the sea, 55 km west from Bournemouth, 112 km south from Bristol, 210 km south-west from London. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway M3 London. Then road A31. Railway station in the resort. Car ferry Saint Malo - Weymouth 1 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Bristol (BRS) 110 km, London Heathrow (LHR) 210 km. Weymouth has an attractive harbour and a long, safe sandy beach. Summer activities in the area include windsurfing, kite surfing and water skiing and the the land-lubbers will enjoy rock-climbing, paragliding, hiking, cycling and pony trekking. The Isle of Portland, Chesil Beach and historic Dorchester are all a short drive away, as is Lodmoor Country Park with its Sea Life Park and Marine Sanctuary. Possible day trips to Saint Malo, France.
