Lovely views Position: The village of Les Eyzies with its prehistoric caves, is about two miles away by road but only 800 yards walk down a fairly steep hill. Here there are basic shops and lots of bars and restaurants. There is more extensive shopping in Le Bugue and Sarlat, where there is a colourful weekly market. The attractive, well maintained grounds and swimming pool (11.5x4.5m 10/04-01/11), are shared with the owners and guests in the Chambre d'Hôte rooms behind Panoramique Bas. One or all of these, can be booked to provide additional accommodation. There are swings for children. Private terrace and garden with garden furniture and built-in barbecue.

Covered terrace leads to the kitchen with wooden benches, fridge, freezer, gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Through a separate entrance is the living room with open fireplace, sofa, TV and DVD player and doors to a large roof terrace with lovely views. There are two bedrooms, a double with doors to the front terrace and with ensuite shower room, basin and wc and a double with extra single bed. Roof terrace at the back. Shower room with basin and wc. Cot on request. Bed linen and central heating available at extra cost payable locally.

Resort: The market town of "Les Eyzies" is situated in the heart of the "Black Perigord"at the confluence of the rivers Vezere and Beune. When prehistoric skeletons were unearthed here in 1868 Les Eyzies suddenly became an archaelogist's dream. This area in the Dordogne Valley was found to be one of the richest in the world in ancient sites and deposits. Some of the caves discovered contain primitive drawings made 30,000 yeard ago. The most beautiful and most famous are at Lascaux. Sarlat 22 km. Brive 50 km. Bergerac 50 km.
