Resort: Well-known holiday resort directly by the sea, 13 km from Barth, 25 km from Stralsund, 50 km from Rostock. In the resort: shopping centre, supermarket, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, concerts, museum. Indoor pool, wellness centre, health cures. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: harbour Zingst. Ahrenshoop 25 km. Prerow 12 km. Insel Rngen 30 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Rostock (RLG) 80 km, Lnbeck (LBC) 195 km, Barth (BBH) 13 km. Zingst is situated at the east end of the peninsula Fischland-Darss-Zingst embedded into a 20 km long and 2 km wide land, between Bodden and the Baltic Sea. Zingst has its own harbour and during the season there are daily excursions to the island of Hiddensee among many others. Mooring for private boats can be arranged by advance registration. A very interesting thing to see is the crane birds (up to 60,000), which in the Autumn evening gather here. This is an inspiring view.
