BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This three bedroom home enjoys a serene, secluded location in the Centennial Valley. Guests will enjoy great access to hiking and fishing, fantastic mountain views and lots of peace and quiet at this home.
BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The home has three tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a king size bed and seating area. The second bedroom also has a king size bed, that can be separated into two twin beds, and the third bedroom has one double bed and one twin bed. There is additional sleeping space on a a pulout twin sized overstuffed chair.
KITCHEN: This fully equipped kitchen has top of the line appliances and amenities. It has absolutely everything you will need for any meal you have planned. There is a nice selection of cookware, serving ware and a good spice cabinet as well. Out on the deck you will find a gas barbecue grill and seating for those outdoor meals.
DINING AREA: The dining area adjoins the kitchen, with a beautiful dining table with seats for up to eight.
LIVING ROOM: The living area is off to the side of the dining room and kitchen. There is a television with VCR/DVD player and a small selection of movies. There is no reception or satellite service at the home. The best thing about the living room is the incredible view of the Centennial Mountains out the many windows!
SETTING, ACREAGE, VIEWS: Smith House is located on a 10,000 acre operating cattle ranch in the Centennial Valley. Red Rocks Lake National Wildlife Refuge is within a short drive of the home. Hiking in the Gravelly Mountains, canoeing, and fishing on the many creeks and rivers in the area will fill your days. Wildlife visitors may include deer, pronghorn antelope, and lots of birdlife - kestrels, osprey, sandhill cranes and more!
ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Fishing, world-class bird watching on the ranch and at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, hiking, mountain biking, and simply relaxing. There?s fishing on the Beaverhead, Big Hole, Madison and Ruby Rivers, as well as Elk and Hidden Lake. You can add on a la carte working ranch activities such as horseback riding, seasonal cattle drives, and fixing fence. Red Rock Lakes is considered by many to be the most beautiful refuge in the country.
CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: It is 110 miles to Idaho Falls, the closest airport, and 85 miles ( 1.5 hrs) to Dillon,the nearest grocery store. Yellowstone Park is within a hours drive.
