Little House is a welcoming non-smoking retreat.
This two bedroom cottage is located in the quaint fishing village of Hunts Point, 90 minutes from Halifax and a three-minute walk to the picturesque, working wharf and Hunts Point Beach with it's crescent of white sand. Set on a lovely lot with a tiny brook, Little House has a woodstove to cozy up to, making it a perfect year round retreat.
Little House is a ten minute drive to the historic Loyalist settlement of Liverpool. There you’ll find a couple of terrific museums, an excellent library with internet access, some very good restaurants and a theatre presenting live music, live shows and movies. A walk or short bicycle ride away is the White Point Resort with a Golf Club, tennis courts indoor pool and lots of rainy day activities. Liverpool also hosts the Liverpool International Theatre Festival every two years.
The real attraction here is the beaches - in all seasons; for walking, swimming and to enjoy the glimpses of wildlife.
Hunts Point Beach is a step away, providing a lovely early morning walk and great swimming, as well as a perfect place to put in a kayak or canoe. This shoreline is a necklace of beaches, each a perfect gem. Five minutes drive takes you to Summerville Beach, a mile long strand of white sand. At one end, the Quarterdeck Restaurant is perched over the water and at the other is Broad River with its warm water - wonderful swimming and paddling by the old railway bridge. A little further alongthe coast is Carters Beach: three crescents of white sand and turquoise water where whales occasionally rest just offshore, and a warm river flows between two of the beaches. Beyond again, the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct with seals and whales, seabirds and trails through the remarkable headland. All this within about 20 minutes of Little House.
