Experience the authentic Costa Rican beach vacation in a setting away from crowds yet close to everything. Casa de Somers vacation rental in Esterillos is a beautiful beachfront holiday rental home sitting in an enormous landscaped lot that includes a large yard and its own lagoon and cascading waterfall.
The property fronts a seemingly endless expanse of pristine black volcanic beach lined with palm trees called Esterillos. Esterillos is excellent for swimming and shelling as well as surfing (beginner-intermediate). The tide swings back and forth every day many meters leaving behind tide pools that children love, plus it's an spectacle just to watch it.
A car is recommended, however, distances to restaurants and shopping are short. There are some good restaurants in the area (Italian, Costa Rican, seafood) and a small grocery store is only a 10 minute drive. Jaco, where you can find most variety, is only a 25 minutes drive away. Parrita is another option, only 20 minutes away.
The house offers many comforts, including private pool, full air conditioning, cable TV, phone, internet and onsite caretakers, which makes it very safe.
The living area has wicker furniture and a large TV with cable. The wooden dining table seats eight guests and an additional eight can seat at the breakfast counter next to it. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a large stainless steel refrigerator with water and ice dispenser.
Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor. The Master bedroom with a view is located on a second floor, boasts wood flooring, high ceilings, a large TV with cable, a King bed and walk-in closet, and enjoys an ensuite bathroom with bathtub. From the wraparound balcony one can command views of the beach and the pool area, sitting on the wood and leather rocking chairs.
The second bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and closet. Bedrooms 3 and 4 both have closets and share a full bathroom.
The swimming pool area has lounge chairs and a charcoal grill. It's complemented by a palm thatched gazebo (palapa) with seating. We are sure you will enjoy this area very much and it will be the most frequent gathering point.
It's worth mentioning that there is no street or road passing between the house and the beach. All you have to do is walk through the palm trees to access the beach. The setting is quiet and neighbors are hardly noticeable.
There is an adjacent guesthouse (not included in price) that can be rented to add two more bedrooms and one full bathroom. The guesthouse has air conditioning in the bedrooms and a sitting area.
There is a large landscaped lot next door property of the same owners. On it there is a structure that used to be a small restaurant and that can be used together with the lawn area for events such as weddings and corporate parties. Please inquire for pricing.
Please note that pricing quoted here is for 8 guests staying at the main house. The guest house is priced separately.
