Le Terriol is a completely renovated, traditional house, providing spacious and comfortable accomodation for 6 adults plus up to 3 children.
It is 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants of the fortified bastide village of Belves(classified as “one of the most beautiful villages of France”) and has fabulous views over the surrounding fields and valleys.

From the lounge area, another stairs lead to the second sleeping area, with two bedrooms, one double and one single, and a shower room.
Althought both the kitchen and sitting room areas offer tables and chairs to dine in, that is probably outside, on the large wooden decked terrace, that you will enjoy having lunch, while enjoying the three stars view onto the woods and countryside above.
The children will enjoy the large grassy garden area to play football or badminton. Local Activities ****************
So much to do and see in this beautiful area; many bastide towns and medieval villages in the beautiful countryside.
There are many activities round and about including golf, canoeing, walking, horse riding, hot air ballooning, go-karting, tennis and fishing.
About Belves: Belvès, medieval town with seven belltowers, is near the Bessède forest. Its name probably comes from a celtic tribe, the Bellovaques, that settled here around 250 B.C. Through small streets with poetic names as la Rue du Bout du Monde ("End Of The World Street") or la Rue de l’Oiseau qui Chante ("The Bird That Sings Street"), the Castrum fortified in the 11th century, with its main gate, its belfry and its ramparts.
The Covered Market, 500 years old, has kept on one of its 23 pillars, the chain of the pillory where thieves and other bad citizens were attached. In the streets with gothic and Renaissance style houses are the remains of the Dominican Convent and its octogonal belltower, the hôtel Bontemps (XII-XVIth), the Hôpital (XVIIth), the castle (XIVth) or the Tour de l’Auditeur (XIth).
Under the market place, the Cave dwellings show us how daily life was in the Middle Ages inside the ancient moat. The countryside is full of small castles, old stone houses, mysterious cluzeaux and examples of rural architecture such as pigeon-houses, stone huts and wash houses.
